Spring is just around the corner! It’s starting to warm up here sporadically and each day that it’s above 60 degrees outside our windows are open! Even though our winter this year was very mild, I’m still ready for it to be over and for spring to take its place.
My favorite part about spring is FLOWERS! Because I’m so anxious for spring, I’ve been making trips to Trader Joe’s to bring spring to my home a little early. However, buying flowers every week to try and trick myself into thinking that it is spring can add up very fast. That brings me to my other favorite thing, greenery, and specifically my obsession with eucalyptus.
I’ve mentioned here, here, and here before why I’m such a fan of eucalyptus. If you don’t want to read back through here’s a recap:
Eucalyptus
- Is inexpensive
- Is full looking
- Smells good
- Comes in a few different types
- Dries well
- Is a beautiful muted green color
I’ve been searching online for different eucalyptus uses and have gathered some really creative ideas. Here are some of my favorites!
This simple, minimalist arrangement in a large vase would look gorgeous in any home and is large enough to make a statement.
I love this idea of using seeded eucalyptus to create a whimsical garland. This would look so great at a garden themed party.
Seeded eucalyptus is used again in a creative way to add some texture to these place settings. The great thing about this green is that it can be used for any time of year. These napkins would work for an Easter table just as well as they would work on a Thanksgiving table.
This is such a beautiful and bold look! The flowers at the top add in some pink and peach colors while the greens give the illusion of a full floral garland.
I love the look of the eucalyptus spilling over the side of this vase. It draws your attention to the arrangement and fills up the space perfectly in this living room.
Remember I mentioned that eucalyptus smells good? This is such a great idea for turning your shower into a spa shower.
How adorable would these eucalyptus crowns look for a photo session? This crown would look gorgeous on an expectant mom during a maternity photo session or would look cute on little girls for a family photo session.
This contrast in this hutch décor is amazing! I love how the white pops against the dark furniture. The eucalyptus adds the perfect texture to this design.
This little guide can be pinned for reference. It shows you the different types of eucalyptus that I was talking about before. Seeded is my absolute favorite – so much texture!
Don’t want to dry out and preserve the real stuff? This tutorial shows you how to make felt eucalyptus to use as decoration in your home. Same great look, customized and created by you!
