Another year has flown by! I can’t believe that we are already at the end of 2018. But, to be honest, I’m really excited for 2019!
2018 was somewhat of a crazy year for this blog. I started off at a normal pace, slowed down a little during the summer, and then went full speed ahead in the last three months of the year.
It’s fun to look back each year and see the progress that we have made in our home. We did a lot of projects this year to finish some rooms. I am loving how our home is growing into a space that we truly love!
It’s also fun to see just how many different posts I’ve shared here on the blog. My blog is just over 3 years old now. It’s fun to look back and see how it has grown!
Today I thought that we could take a little trip down memory lane and look back at the highlights of 2018 – my third year blogging!

So, what happened this year on Keys to Inspiration? Let’s start in…
January
In January, I was on a New Year’s organizing kick and decided to tackle organization in our kitchen. I didn’t completely organize the space perfectly, but I made significant progress that helped make working in the kitchen a whole lot easier.

May
In May, I actually took a break from blogging for a little while. I had lots of projects behind the scenes and didn’t share any blog posts. I did work on a fun spring decorating project and blog post as a guest poster for another blog. It was such a fun project and I love how it turned out!

In June, I shared the full reveal of our master bedroom! But right before that, I also shared how we built one of the bigger projects from that space – the modern barn door. The master bedroom is one of my favorite room reveals here on the blog! I hope you love it as much as I do.

October
In October, I participated in my very first One Room Challenge. I decided to makeover our basement room and turn it into my home office. For the One Room Challenge, I totally transformed the nook area of the basement to turn it into a built-in desk. This was my most ambitious home project to date, but it was worth it!
PS: Don’t forget to read all of my ORC blog posts. They are linked at the end of all the weekly posts. I shared a LOT in October.

December
In December, I decided to challenge myself and create a huge Christmas series focused on the Cricut! I kicked off the series at the very end of November and then I shared a new project every single day in December until Christmas! It was SO much work, but it was also a ton of fun! I am so proud of this series and how much I created and was capable of. I hope that you loved it too!
You can see a full overview of the series here.

Looking back on this year, I’m so grateful for all of the amazing things I’ve gotten to do because of this blog. 2018 was a little crazy, and it flew by. The end of the year was VERY intense and I did so many things in just the last quarter of the year. It was exciting, exhausting, but also rewarding.
I’m very excited about what 2019 will bring! Thanks for being here with me along the way. You truly are my friends!
I love all of these and your home — I double checked with my husband and he said it’s okay if I come to live with you 😉 Just kidding (but seriously, love your home). I can’t wait to see all the great stuff that you will share in the new year! Hugs.
Thanks Marissa! You are sweet 🙂

Thanks Susan! We will probably have more home projects coming up this year. I need to create a better entry area, so that’s probably first on the list.
