It’s time for our Christmas Home Tour 2020. I’m kicking things off with the first space you see when you come into our home, my office!
Colorful and fun – that’s how I like my home office to feel.
This space is my place to be creative. So, instead of keeping everything modern classic like the rest of the house, I tend to take a few more risks in this space. The fun wallpaper and the bold blue cabinets are examples of that.
For Christmas this year, I added a few festive touches. My favorite addition is this colorful paper chain.
I found a paper stack at the craft store that had bright bold colors and a few glitter pages too.
Then, I used my Cricut Maker to cut out strips and assembled it using some hot glue. It was a quick and easy project and I love the result!
I also have a mini flocked tree on top of my desk. It’s a lot brighter than some of my other decorative trees throughout the house, so it fits perfectly in this space.
I added some simple votives on the shelves with battery operated candles inside so that I get that twinkle glow at night.
Speaking of twinkle lights, I also decided to put this beautiful luminary in my office this year.
Ben got this as a gift for me a few years ago and I love bringing it out each year for Christmas. It has room for 4 candles inside, so I added those battery operated ones here too. The best part is they turn on and off all by themselves, so they are perfectly timed for when the sun goes down.
I also added some faux Christmas greenery in my favorite white vase to complete this little display.
The desk area of my office is definitely bright and colorful. But as you move towards the entryway and the stairs going up to the main living area of our home, the decor and style starts to transition too.
This seating area is my go-to spot! I like to sit on this chair and read, work, journal, and have some coffee. It’s super comfy with all of my pillows and a nice fluffy blanket.
I swapped a few pillow covers for the holiday season. But I kept the fun and colorful vibe here by using this pretty pink cover with pom poms. It’s just a little more muted.
Over by the door, I hung this beautiful faux greenery wreath from McGee and Co. I added the black bells to create that layered modern look.
I honestly like having my wreath inside the door rather than outside. We never really see the front of our townhome, so this way I can enjoy the beautiful wreath everyday when I come downstairs!
You might notice that a couple of photos in the gallery wall have been swapped out. I got some of Nova’s baby photos printed and I just love them. But I cannot believe it’s been over a year since those were taken. Time is flying!
I hope you enjoyed this tour of my Christmas office. Stay tuned to see the rest of our home decked out for the holidays!
