Get the Modern Classic Look for Less!

My favorite home decorating style is a mix of contemporary modern and classic traditional. I think the two styles pair so well together and create a fresh, and casual atmosphere in a home. Whenever I’m browsing through Pinterest, “Modern Classic” is a style that I see all throughout designer homes. I love the look, but I don’t love the price!

I’m a big believer that you can have a stylish home on a regular budget. There’s no reason that you need to spend $90 on a pillow cover (for example) in order to have a beautiful home. That’s just crazy! So, I decided it was time to start figuring out how I could get that modern classic look for less.

Today I’m sharing my favorite classy coffee tables.

Coffee tables are an essential for a living room or more formal sitting area. They keep the room grounded and contrast with all the textiles to create balance.

When creating a home that is both modern and classic, your coffee table and couch should complement each other and combine both styles. Our current “coffee table” is actually a big ottoman. It matches our couch, so it’s not exactly the best look for our space. But since our living room is our main living space, we chose comfort over style this time.

However, I do love the look of a coffee table in a living room. Here are some of my favorites!

Classy Coffee Tables

I love the mixed material look! Wood and dark metal go so well together and are perfect for modern classic decor. This coffee table is a steal – it’s under $90!

This mid-century modern style coffee table is so fun! I love the white and wood mix. I especially love that the wood is a natural light color, which is really coming into style right now. You can snag this table for under $120!

Sometimes an upholstered bench is a more appropriate coffee table for a space. This one is more structured and the gray and wood tones look great together. This is a great modern classic piece at a great price – under $160.

I love this round mid-century modern coffee table. It is perfect for a smaller living area and would look great paired with a more structured rectangular couch. This is a steal at just over $100!

Natural wood is definitely making a comeback. This traditional coffee table has a pretty, unfinished look and would keep things fresh and bright looking in a living space. I love the “X” sides of the design. Grab this for just under $140.

Another pretty upholstered bench which would make a great substitute for a coffee table. I love the muted colors of this bench. It makes the piece look sophisticated and inviting. The high-end look of this piece makes it the most expensive of the bunch, but it’s still a great price at just under $230.
